The STEAM National Honor Society (STEAM NHS), a U.S.-based nonprofit promoting student achievement in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, has announced a strategic partnership with Intelligent Science Group Inc., also known as Science Bank, to publish the 2026 edition of the Future Scholars Journal (FSJ). The journal is a free, peer-reviewed, international platform dedicated to high school and undergraduate research.
The collaboration merges STEAM NHS’s mission-driven student research ecosystem with Science Bank’s global publishing capabilities. Together, they aim to improve editorial quality, peer-review rigor, and international exposure for student-authored research. The Future Scholars Journal functions as an official scholarly activity of STEAM NHS and provides a structured pathway for student researchers to gain recognition in the academic community.
Through this partnership, approximately 30 high-quality student research papers will undergo a joint peer-review and publication process, drawing from a combined network of academic reviewers. The journal will follow a transparent, structured review cycle in line with international scholarly standards, with publication scheduled for Spring 2026.
A significant feature of the collaboration is Science Bank’s support for Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration for accepted manuscripts. This ensures student work is permanently citable and discoverable worldwide. The journal will be hosted on the FSJ portal and mirrored on Science Bank’s platform, extending its reach while STEAM NHS retains full ownership of the journal’s intellectual property.
A representative from STEAM NHS emphasized that the partnership reflects a commitment to treating student research with the same rigor, ethics, and seriousness as professional scholarship. By joining forces with Science Bank, STEAM NHS seeks to expand global access, credibility, and opportunities for young researchers. A Science Bank spokesperson noted that the collaboration highlights how nonprofit organizations and publishing platforms can work together to strengthen the future of scholarly communication.
The Future Scholars Journal will remain fully open access, reinforcing STEAM NHS’s dedication to equity and global participation in research. Students selected for publication will benefit from structured peer review, editorial mentorship, and worldwide dissemination of their work. The 2026 edition is expected to be released between April and May 2026, with calls for submissions to be announced on the respective official platforms.
