Sridhar Venkatesh and Anuj Dayal, Indian American tech professionals, have been appointed to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alumni Association (MITAA) board of directors. Venkatesh has been inducted as an at-large director for the financial year 2023-2024, while Dayal assumes the role of a term member for FY 2023-2026 within the MIT alumni board.
The board collaborates with MITAA’s CEO and staff, working under the framework of institute policies, to represent the interests of MIT’s community of around 147,000 living alumni.
Serving as the Senior Vice President of Products at Alluxio, USA, Venkatesh holds extensive experience in product management and leadership roles with tech ventures like Avalara and Caymas. He co-founded the machine-learning startup Indix, later acquired by Avalara in 2019, and served as its Vice President until April 2022. Venkatesh is an MIT alumnus with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Illinois.
Dayal’s background includes working as the Director of Product Management at Google, leading products and innovations for games at Google Play. With a history of active engagement, he has served as an alumni class president for a decade, held positions within the MIT Club of Northern California, chaired class reunions, and contributed to various programs including the 24-Hour Challenge and the Student Alumni Externship Program.
Recipient of the Margaret L. A. MacVicar Award, Dayal is driven by his professional passion to create exceptional consumer experiences using innovative technologies and high-performing teams.
