Smriti Kirubanandan, an Indian American public health executive, has assumed the position of managing director within Accenture’s healthcare division.
Her appointment was announced via LinkedIn, where Kirubanandan expressed her enthusiasm for joining a leadership team that prioritizes kindness, inclusivity, and advocates for equity and unity.
Emphasizing the crucial role individuals play as “value creators, architects of change, and genuine guardians of the healthcare galaxy” during these challenging times, she conveyed her gratitude and excitement for commencing her journey with Accenture.
Kirubanandan currently serves as the global director and head of strategic marketing for healthcare and life sciences at TATA Consultancy Services. With a robust background in robotics and public health, she focuses on driving transformations within the healthcare sector, particularly in areas such as customer experience, intelligent automation, data analytics, and insights.
Recognized for her innovative efforts to make healthcare more accessible and affordable, Kirubanandan was recently honored with a fellowship from the British Royal Society of Arts. Additionally, she was acknowledged as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2023 and is the founder of the HLTH Forward Podcast, an acclaimed media platform addressing healthcare system challenges.
Her educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Robotics, a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles.
