Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again is a high-energy action film set to debut on OTT this year for Diwali. The film, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, also features Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor in key supporting roles. Starting December 27, the film will be available exclusively on Prime Video in India and across 240 other countries and territories worldwide.
As the fifth installment in Rohit Shetty’s acclaimed cop universe, Singham Again follows the storyline of DCP Bajirao Singham, played by Devgn, as he embarks on a mission to rescue his wife, Avni Kamat, portrayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan. The narrative, drawing inspiration from the Ramayana, features an ensemble of law enforcement officers, including ACP Satya (Tiger Shroff), Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), Sangram Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh), and Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone). Their primary adversary is the menacing Zubair Hafeez, known as Danger Lanka, played by Arjun Kapoor.
Produced with a massive budget of $42.5 million, Singham Again has accumulated a total worldwide box office collection of $45 million, with $36 million from India and $9 million from international markets.
The Diwali season saw the release of two big films. Along with Singham Again, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 hit theaters. Made on a budget of $18.8 million, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned $47 million worldwide. The third installment in this horror-comedy franchise, which also stars Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit, is set to stream on Netflix starting December 27.
