Veteran of the aviation sector Sanjiv Kapoor has left his position as Chief Executive Officer-designate of Jet Airways and joined Saudia Airline, located in Jeddah, as an advisor to its Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar.
He tweeted, “I am thrilled to share that I have joined the Saudia Group as an advisor to Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of the group. I am excited at the opportunity of working with a highly passionate and talented team and being part of what promises to be an exciting journey ahead.”
With over 20 years of experience in the aviation sector, Kapoor has held managerial positions with airlines in Asia, Europe, and the US, as well as consulting and investment adviser roles.
“Sanjiv joined us in April 2022 to spearhead the revival of Jet Airways and drove the business and launch plan as we prepared to restart the commercial operations of Jet Airways. Jalan Kalrock Consortium (JKC) is grateful to Sanjiv for his contribution to the launch plans of Jet Airways during his time with us, and we wish him the very best for his future endeavors.” Ankit Jalan, a board member of JKC, the company that owns Jet Airways, announced Sanjiv’s departure on April 28.
