MCR Hotels, positioned as the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, has named Sameer Mehra, an Indian American executive, as its chief revenue officer.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience spanning 25 years in the hospitality sector, Mehra’s appointment emphasizes his proficiency across revenue management, distribution strategies, e-commerce, strategic alliances, and sales leadership, as highlighted in an official statement by the company.
Prior to joining MCR, Mehra served as the chief revenue officer at Hersha Hospitality Management, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and team performance. His career trajectory includes leadership positions at Global Hospitality Investment Group and TPG Hotels & Resorts, where he contributed significantly to process optimization and team development.
Commencing his professional journey at the Taj Group of Hotels in India, Mehra honed his revenue management skills across a diverse portfolio of luxury properties. Tyler Morse, chairman and CEO of MCR, expressed confidence in Mehra’s ability to drive revenue growth and streamline operational processes.
In his new role, Mehra aims to leverage his expertise in revenue generation to strengthen MCR’s integrated revenue and sales team, thereby enhancing the value proposition of the company’s branded and independent assets.
Mehra’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Delhi, an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Goa Institute of Management, and a leadership certificate from the Wharton Executive Education program.
