According to reports, Nitesh Tiwari’s film adaptation of Ramayan is scheduled to begin production in December. The movie had previously been delayed due to difficulties in casting the role of Ravana, but it seems that the search for an actor is now over. As per a report from Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Yash have been chosen for the key roles in the film.
A source close to Pinkvilla revealed, “In recent weeks, Ranbir Kapoor has been seen visiting the DNEG office to monitor the progress of Ramayana. The pre-visualization of the world has already been completed, and now the team is conducting look tests with Ranbir for the role of Lord Ram. The purpose of these visits is to achieve the right appearance for Ranbir, as once that is achieved, he will undergo physical transformation for the role.”
The report mentioned that Alia was initially the top choice for the role of Sita, but her schedule did not align earlier. However, the filmmakers approached her again, and she was recently spotted outside their office. Furthermore, the report indicated that Yash is likely to accept the project. Ranbir is set to portray the character of Ram, Alia will play Sita, and Yash is expected to take on the role of Ravana. Yash is known for his notable performance in the film KGF.
