India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh delivered a powerful message to Pakistan on Friday, declaring that India is prepared to use strategies to combat terrorism that Pakistan “cannot even imagine.” Speaking to naval personnel aboard the INS Vikrant off the coast of Goa, Singh praised the Indian Navy’s critical role in Operation Sindoor and warned Islamabad of the consequences of continued provocation.
“The Indian Navy, with its silent precision during Operation Sindoor, earned the admiration of every Indian,” Singh said. “They managed to neutralize the Pakistani military’s movements without even making noise. Now imagine what happens when such a force chooses to speak out.”
He underscored that while Pakistan was spared a full-fledged naval strike this time, any future misstep might be met with overwhelming force from all wings of the Indian military. “If Pakistan dares to repeat any misadventure, it’s entirely possible that the Navy will lead the response,” he asserted.
Singh didn’t mince words about Pakistan’s longstanding strategy of using terrorism as a proxy war. “The dangerous game Pakistan has been playing against India since Independence must end. We will deploy every method they can think of—and those they cannot even fathom—to eliminate terrorism,” he said.
He also called on Islamabad to dismantle terror networks thriving within its borders. “Pakistan should shut down the terror nurseries operating on its soil. India reserves the right to act against terrorists anywhere—on land or sea, across the border or within it,” Singh warned.
Highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor, the Defense Minister called it a direct and decisive strike against terrorism. “It wasn’t just a military operation—it was a bold statement to terrorists and those who shield them,” he said. “Our forces moved with unmatched speed, precision, and determination. In mere days, we dismantled Pakistan’s terror bases and crushed their intentions.”
Singh added that India paused military operations strictly on its own terms, emphasizing that the country is no longer willing to tolerate cross-border terrorism or international interference in its security strategy.
Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the deadly Pahalgam attack on April 22, saw India carry out airstrikes on key terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), further strengthening its message of zero tolerance toward terrorism.
