The ninth edition of the Raisina Dialogue took place from February 21 to Friday in New Delhi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the conference. Greeceās Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis joined the inauguration session as the chief guest.
Originating as an annual conference focusing on geopolitics and geoeconomics, the Raisina Dialogue aimed to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues. Attended by individuals from political, business, media, and civil society backgrounds, the event was structured as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral discussion. Hosted in New Delhi, the conference was organized by the Observer Research Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs.
The theme of the 2024 edition was “Chaturanga: Conflict, Contest, Cooperate, Create,” reflecting a comprehensive approach to addressing global challenges. The conference delved into six thematic pillars, including topics such as Tech Frontiers, Peace with the Planet, War & Peace, Decolonising Multilateralism, The Post 2030 Agenda, and Defending Democracy.
The 2024 edition saw over 2,500 participants from approximately 115 countries attending in person. Additionally, millions worldwide engaged with the event through various digital platforms. Participants represented a diverse array of sectors, including government, academia, technology, journalism, and think tanks, ensuring a rich and comprehensive dialogue.
