Proofpoint, a cybersecurity and compliance firm headquartered in California, has welcomed two Indian Americans to its leadership cadre.
Rohit Dixit assumes the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, while Satya Jena steps in as the company’s Senior Vice President of Digital Platforms.
Sumit Dhawan, the CEO, expressed confidence that these appointments would fortify Proofpoint’s ongoing progress. He lauded their passion, commitment to excellence, and innovative drive, citing their invaluable contributions to the company’s culture, service quality, and operational agility.
Dixit’s responsibilities include spearheading Proofpoint’s comprehensive customer retention and service strategy. With over three decades of experience in SaaS and technology-driven service sectors, he boasts a track record of revamping organizations to offer top-tier advisory services and unmatched customer experiences.
Formerly, Dixit held the position of Senior Vice President of Advisory and Professional Services at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. With a bachelor’s in engineering and computer science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology, he pursued an MBA in corporate strategy and operations from University of Michigan – Stephen M Ross School of Business.
Jena, on the other hand, assumes a newly created role focused on business transformation, customer experience, product management, and platform engineering. His mandate involves spearheading Proofpoint’s digital transformation initiatives to enhance business growth and adaptability.
Jena will report to Rémi Thomas, the Chief Financial Officer, to drive innovation and business expansion through the introduction of novel business models and digital platforms. Prior to joining Proofpoint, Jena played a pivotal role at VMware, where he fostered the company’s digital transformation and monetization capabilities over nearly a decade.
Jena’s academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in engineering IT from Bangalore University, coursework in accounting at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and participation in the Stanford Advanced Project Management program at Stanford University. Additionally, he completed an MBA in entrepreneurship from Babson FW Olin Graduate School of Business and pursued executive education on high-impact leadership at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
