Priyanka: Mom ‘returns favor’ by caring for Malti while we work

Ever since Malti Marie Chopra Jonas joined their family in 2022, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have made her their top priority. Despite their demanding careers, they make a concerted effort to create meaningful moments and dedicate quality time to her whenever possible. While their work obligations sometimes keep them away, they entrust Malti to the care of Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, ensuring she receives attentive and loving care. Priyanka recently expressed gratitude for her mother’s support, acknowledging her role in caring for Malti.

While en route to work in France for her upcoming film, Priyanka took to Instagram to share snippets of her day with her followers. Acknowledging the demanding day ahead on set, including numerous stunts, she revealed that Malti was spending the day at home with her grandmother, Madhu Chopra. Priyanka fondly recounted her mother’s calming presence during her own childhood, as Madhu would provide care while she pursued her career. Now, Priyanka appreciates her mother’s reciprocated support as she cares for Malti.

During a conversation with Bollywood Hungama last year, Madhu Chopra, who served as a physician in the Indian Army alongside her late husband, Ashok Chopra, reflected on her parenting journey. She admitted to not always being physically present for her children, recalling the difficult decision to send Priyanka to boarding school at a young age and later to the US. Madhu expressed some regret over these choices but noted that neither Priyanka nor Siddharth had accused her of neglect. She acknowledged the challenges of balancing her career and parenting, particularly during Priyanka’s formative years.

Priyanka has previously opened up about her struggles with racial discrimination while in high school in the US, as well as the identity crisis she faced upon returning to India. Despite these challenges, she has persevered and succeeded in her career, supported by her family’s unwavering love and understanding.
