In the 106th episode of the Mann Ki Baat radio program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an announcement regarding the Khadi Mahotsav’s remarkable success. He noted that this month had seen record-breaking sales of Khadi products in Delhi. PM Modi emphasized the significance of the ongoing Khadi Mahotsav and how it had shattered previous sales records. He particularly highlighted the exceptional sales on Gandhi Jayanti.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister encouraged the promotion of ‘Vocal for Local’ during festivals, underlining the importance of supporting local products and striving for an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ or self-reliant India. He envisioned India becoming a leading manufacturing hub globally.
PM Modi also mentioned the special significance of October 31st, celebrated as the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as the Iron Man of India. He acknowledged Sardar Patel’s pivotal role in unifying more than 580 princely states in India.
On this occasion, PM Modi introduced the MYBharat organization, which aims to engage the youth in various nation-building activities. The organization’s foundation was laid on Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary, and it provides an opportunity for Indian youth to actively participate in nation-building events.
The Prime Minister elaborated on the Amrit Kalash Yatras, where soil collected from every village and household in India was gathered in Kalash containers. These thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatras were now reaching Delhi, where the soil would be used to create ‘Amrit Vatika’ in the capital.
PM Modi also announced the celebration of Tribal Pride Day on November 15, which coincides with the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. He praised Lord Birsa Munda’s courage and determination, highlighting the importance of drawing inspiration from his life.
