Bihar, known for being home to some of India’s most prominent ancient empires, holds great significance in Buddhism and Jainism. Despite its rich heritage, it remains one of the most economically challenged States, with a substantial portion of its population migrating to other regions for employment. Bihar officially became a separate entity from the Bengal presidency on this day in 1912, marking an important chapter in its history.
