Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the increasing global influence of India amidst numerous challenges. Speaking at a public rally in Pithoragarh, he referred to his government’s decisions on long-pending issues, such as the women’s reservation bill. Additionally, he mentioned the success of India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, which reached a part of the moon where no other country could. Modi attributed India’s bolstered position on the world stage to the Indian people who granted him a second term. He credited them for the nation’s progress.
Modi explained that when he meets world leaders, they see not only him but the entire Indian population. He pointed out that 135 million people have risen above the poverty line in the past five years, demonstrating India’s potential to overcome poverty. Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome he receives in Uttarakhand, he noted the personal connection he feels with the people of the region.
Modi expressed faith in the people of Uttarakhand and their unique abilities. He emphasized the need for development in border areas and the importance of reviving deserted villages. Inaugurating multiple development projects worth nearly 42.2 million dollars in Uttarakhand, he focused on the region’s growth. He acknowledged the record number of pilgrims for the Char Dham yatra and highlighted the significance of developing the area for tourism and pilgrimages.
