New Delhi witnessed the launch of the first-ever SOUL (School of Ultimate Leadership) Leadership Conclave on Friday, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam. Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay was also present at the event, marking a significant moment in fostering leadership across diverse sectors.
The two-day conclave, running from February 21 to 22, serves as a platform for prominent figures from politics, sports, media, arts, business, public policy, and social sectors to share their leadership journeys. Through discussions on success and failure, the conclave aims to nurture a new generation of leaders by offering valuable insights and fostering collaboration.
SOUL, an emerging leadership institution in Gujarat, is dedicated to shaping leaders who advance the public good. It seeks to expand India’s political leadership landscape by training individuals based on merit, dedication, and passion for public service, rather than family background. The initiative provides skills and knowledge essential for navigating leadership challenges in today’s complex world.
Bhutan’s Prime Minister arrived in Delhi on Thursday and was welcomed by Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita. Expressing his excitement, Prime Minister Modi posted on X, stating that he looked forward to inaugurating the conclave alongside his friend, Bhutan’s PM.
Prior to the conclave, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel performed the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony on February 14 for SOUL’s upcoming state-of-the-art campus in Gandhinagar. Attendees included Sudhir Mehta, Chairman of SOUL’s Board of Directors, board members, former Finance Secretary Hasmukh Adhia, and other distinguished guests.
Set to be completed within two years, the SOUL campus will cover 22 acres near Gujarat Biotechnology University on GIFT City Road, with an estimated development cost of $18 million.
