Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit on Monday in Jaipur, running from December 9 to 11. The summit aims to attract global investors and industry leaders, focusing on Rajasthan’s innovation and development potential.
In his address, PM Modi emphasized India’s economic growth, stating that the country has become the world’s fifth-largest economy by following the principles of “Reform, Perform, and Transform.” He noted that in the past decade, India has doubled its economy and exports, making the nation a preferred destination for global investors.
Highlighting India’s advancements in digital infrastructure, democracy, and demographics, PM Modi stated, “This is a tech-driven century, and India is showcasing the power of democratized digital technology. Our platforms like UPI and DBT have benefited all sectors and communities.” He added that Rajasthan’s success will contribute to India’s overall progress.
PM Modi underscored the BJP government’s commitment to both development and heritage, encapsulated in the mantra, Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi. He criticized previous governments for neglecting these priorities, which had hindered Rajasthan’s growth. “Rajasthan is rising and reliable, receptive, and refining itself over time,” he said, commending the state for electing a reformist BJP government.
The Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, attended by dignitaries, policymakers, and industry leaders, serves as a platform to showcase Rajasthan’s business potential. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attributed investor confidence to new policy initiatives, including nine policies launched on December 4 to boost the state’s business environment.
