In a LinkedIn article marking the 10-year milestone of the initiative, Modi expressed his appreciation for the countless individuals who have contributed to making “Make in India” a reality. He described these contributors as pioneers, visionaries, and innovators whose relentless dedication has brought global attention and curiosity to India.
“Make in India” was conceived a decade ago with the ambitious goal of advancing India’s manufacturing capabilities, transforming the country from an importer to a leading exporter. Reflecting on the journey, the Prime Minister shared his immense pride in the collective strength and skills of India’s 140 crore citizens, noting the remarkable progress that has been made across various sectors.
In his article, Modi highlighted several sectors, such as mobile manufacturing, semiconductor production, defence, and renewable energy, as prime examples of how the initiative has driven transformative change. He emphasized how the collaborative efforts across these industries have turned a vision into a powerful movement, with far-reaching impacts that were once unimaginable.
