In his monthly radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for national unity ahead of the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. He highlighted the event’s potential to bring people together, emphasizing the importance of eliminating division and hatred from society. Modi urged the nation to embrace the occasion with the slogan, “Maha Kumbh ka sandesh, ek ho poora desh” (the message of Maha Kumbh, let the whole country be united), and encouraged people to share their selfies with the hashtag #EktaKaMahakumbh.
Scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, this Maha Kumbh, which occurs once every 144 years, will showcase the theme of “unity in diversity.” The event will gather millions, including saints, followers of various traditions, and numerous sects, symbolizing India’s rich cultural diversity.
For the first time, a ‘digital Maha Kumbh’ will be introduced, featuring AI-powered navigation tools, a digital lost and found center, and an AI chatbot available in 11 Indian languages to assist visitors. Modi encouraged everyone to join both the physical and spiritual journey of unity at the Triveni Sangam.
He also spoke about the 75th anniversary of India’s Constitution, set for January 26, 2025, stressing its role as the guiding framework for the nation’s progress.
