While Silicon Valley boasts a notable presence of Indian-origin executives, Arora stands out as the sole Indian-American in the top 10 list, which notably excludes well-known figures like Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella.
C-Suite Comp’s report, released recently, ranks Arora as number 10 based on both “total compensation granted” and “compensation actually paid” in 2023. His total compensation amounts to $151.4 million, placing him at number four on the “total compensation granted” list, and $266.4 million, securing him the tenth position on the “compensation actually paid” list.
The highest-paid CEO in the US for 2023 was Elon Musk of Tesla, who earned a staggering $1.4 billion. Arora’s achievement underscores his financial success and leadership at Palo Alto Networks, where he has been CEO since 2018. His career includes influential roles at Google and SoftBank Group, highlighting his strategic acumen and global impact in the technology sector.
Born to an Indian Air Force officer, Arora completed his education in India before pursuing further studies in the United States, including an MBA and an MSc.
