Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh are set to headline the sequel to the comedy hit No Entry, confirmed producer Boney Kapoor. Anees Bazmee, director of the original 2005 film, returns for the sequel, although the original cast, including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, will not feature in this installment.
The producer expressed confidence in the new cast, citing Varun and Arjun’s friendship and Diljit’s comedic prowess as a promising combination. While the male leads and director are finalized, casting for the ten female leads is ongoing.
No Entry’s storyline revolves around two married men embroiled in chaos due to their philandering friend, Prem. The sequel aims to maintain the comedic essence of the original, which starred Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Celina Jaitley, and Bipasha Basu.
Speculations about Varun, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit’s involvement in the sequel surfaced earlier this year, with production scheduled to commence in December. Boney Kapoor, meanwhile, awaits the release of his upcoming production Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, set to hit theaters on April 10.
Additionally, Boney Kapoor provided updates on the sequel to the 1987 classic Mr India, directed by Shekhar Kapur and featuring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi. Discussions with a Hollywood studio are underway for Mr India 2, potentially following the release of No Entry 2.
Zee Studios previously announced plans for a Mr India trilogy, with director Ali Abbas Zafar onboard to reimagine the iconic film. Collaborating with a Hollywood studio, Boney Kapoor anticipates significant developments in the near future.
