Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, has been honored with the 2023 Global Leadership Award for Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). The award was presented by USISPF Chairman John Chambers and the Board of Directors. Mrs. Ambani expressed her gratitude for the award and announced the launch of a new school led by her daughter, Isha Ambani, who oversees Reliance Retail.
She commended USISPF for its role in strengthening the bonds between India and the US, both on a people-to-people and business-to-business level. Nita Ambani emphasized her commitment to empowering women and children, a core focus of the Reliance Foundation’s corporate social responsibility efforts.
USISPF Chairman John Chambers highlighted the importance of recognizing social responsibility and philanthropy and lauded Nita Ambani’s exemplary contributions in fields such as arts, sports, culture, and education through the Reliance Foundation.
