On May 29, NBCUniversal (NBCU) and JioCinema, Viacom 18’s streaming service, teamed up in a multi-year collaboration to make NBCU’s vast library of movies and TV shows available to Indian customers.
The collaboration guarantees that JioCinema members will have access to a large selection of films from NBCU’s remarkable collection of production companies and brands. Powerful brands including Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Universal Television Alternative Studio, Sky Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Bravo, and others are included in this portfolio.
With access to NBCU’s unscripted programs, fans of reality television will also find their needs satiated. These shows are recognized for their drama, humor, and emotional ups and downs. Popular programs like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules, Family Karma, which follows the lives of Indian-American friends, and The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, a transformational series with Amy Poehler as the narrator, are all part of the agreement.
Through this cooperation, JioCinema will introduce Indian fans to the Peacock brand and the broad range of NBCU’s offerings. An unprecedented number of top-notch movies and TV shows from NBCU help JioCinema maintain its leadership position as the largest OTT provider in the Indian market.
