Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the 51st G7 Summit held in Kananaskis, Canada, where he joined leaders from the world’s major economies and key international institutions. One of the highlights of the summit was the traditional group photograph, featuring PM Modi alongside other heads of state and government from both G7 nations and invited outreach partners.
The group photo included notable figures such as Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President Antonio Costa.
Taking to the social platform X, Prime Minister Modi shared the official summit photograph with the message: “Together for global progress! Productive exchanges with G7 leaders on key global challenges and shared aspirations for a better planet.”
The summit was not limited to G7 members alone. Leaders from other countries—Mexico, South Korea, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, and Ukraine—also joined the high-level gathering. Their presence emphasized the summit’s inclusive spirit and global outreach. Heads of major global institutions like the United Nations, NATO, and the World Bank were also present, further highlighting the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing current world issues.
