The playoffs of Major League Cricket (MLC) are set to begin today at the recently reopened Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, and it promises to be an exciting event. The teams competing for the inaugural MLC Championship are MI New York, The Washington Freedom, Seattle Orcas, and the Texas Super Kings.
The first match at 3:30pm CT features the Washington Freedom against MI New York in the “Eliminator” game. Both teams earned the third and fourth seed positions, respectively, entering the playoffs. The loser of this match will be eliminated from the competition, while the winner will advance to the “Challenger” match on Friday.
In the second match at 7:30pm CT, table-toppers Seattle Orcas will face off against the Texas Super Kings in a “Qualifier” game. The winner of this match will secure a direct spot in the final, while the loser will have another chance to qualify by participating in Friday’s Challenger match.
Apart from the exciting doubleheader clashes, another major attraction during the playoffs will be the presence of the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy, which will be on display for fans alongside the MLC championship trophy.
