Union Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal reaffirmed the government’s dedication to simplifying the business environment in India during his speech at the “Entrepreneurs Launchpad” event in New Delhi. He commended the success of the Startup India initiative, highlighting that India has evolved from 450 startups in 2016 to over 1 lakh today, making it the third-largest startup ecosystem globally.
Mr. Goyal urged stakeholders to set high goals and contribute to India’s progress. He emphasized India’s global recognition during its G20 presidency, showcasing the country’s development under Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s leadership.
The Minister recognized the aspirational nature of India’s youth and their significance as the foundation for the nation’s development. With an average age of under 30 and a demographic dividend lasting for decades, he expressed optimism about India’s economic growth by 2047.
Mr. Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s attractiveness due to its prospects, diversity, and economic progress, especially its STEM graduates, who are internationally sought after.
He cited various initiatives like Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi, Kartavya Path, and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya as signs of India’s transformation from a colonial mindset. He reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment to improving the lives of all 140 crore Indians through initiatives like electricity access, digital connectivity, cooking gas availability, piped water distribution, and advancements in healthcare and education.
Mr. Goyal encouraged all citizens to contribute to the nation’s growth with dedication and a sense of duty. He praised the Entrepreneurship Launchpad for inspiring and educating participants, fostering entrepreneurship growth.
