Allan Lichtman, the renowned American election forecaster often dubbed the “Nostradamus of US presidential polls,” has made his prediction for the 2024 presidential race. Lichtman, known for his impressive track record, has forecasted that Kamala Harris, the Vice President and Democratic nominee, will secure the presidency and become the next President of the United States.
In a recent video for the New York Times, Lichtman confidently stated, “Kamala Harris will be the next President of the United States.” With the presidential election scheduled for November 5, there are only two months left for voters to decide who will succeed Joe Biden.
The upcoming race will see Kamala Harris contending against Republican candidate Donald Trump. Lichtman, who has accurately predicted presidential outcomes for over 40 years using his “Keys to the White House” model, was among the few forecasters who correctly anticipated Donald Trump’s 2016 victory and Joe Biden’s 2020 win.
Lichtman’s “13 Keys to the White House” method, which he developed during his 50-year tenure as a history professor at American University, involves a set of 13 true/false questions. According to this method, if six or more keys are unfavorable to the incumbent party, the prediction is a loss. Conversely, fewer than six unfavorable keys suggest victory for the incumbent.
In his video, Lichtman explained that Kamala Harris currently has 8 favorable keys, while Donald Trump has 5 negative keys against him, suggesting that he is unlikely to return to the White House.
