King’s University College in Alberta, Canada, has launched a scholarship program to help incoming deserving Indian students get the money they need to pursue higher education beginning in 2023 and continuing through subsequent years.
The statement comes days after Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) revealed data showing that the United States and Canada were the top destinations for Indian students seeking higher education, with a startling 2,26,450 students making the move.
At the King’s Agent Dinner in New Delhi, India, the King’s International Student Award was introduced. A total of $24,027 will be given to students who want to pursue a Canadian education, according to an official release. The decision to split up was made in light of how well-liked and what kind of courses King’s offers.
Dr. Davic C. Malloy, the president of King’s College, described the initiative as having the goal of “bringing diverse minds to the campus and nourishing the leaders of tomorrow.”
According to Dr. Tracy Cunningham, director of enrollment services and registrar at King’s, the financial aid is evidence of the college’s dedication to assisting gifted Indian students.
