The Indian Panorama commemorated its 18th year with a Gratitude Gala in Hicksville, New York, coinciding with the 80th birthday of its founding editor, Indrajit Singh Saluja.
India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amb. Ruchira Kamboj, lauded The Indian Panorama as a platform fostering diaspora connections to their heritage. She praised the Indian American diaspora as among the world’s finest.
Amb. Kamboj honored four recipients: Dr. V.K. Raju (Lifetime Achievement), Ranju Batra (Excellence in Promotion of Diplomacy), Harry Singh Bolla (Excellence in Entrepreneurship), and Purnima Desai (Excellence in Culture), presenting them with awards and tokens.
The event marked the US edition launch of Blitz India, attended by chairman Deepak Dwivedi and CEO Sandeep Saxena. Additionally, Journalists Beyond Borders (JBB), founded by Prof. Saluja in 2022, aimed at safeguarding human rights, was inaugurated.
Prof. Saluja endorsed Parveen Chopra’s wellness and spirituality web magazine, ALotusInTheMud.com, celebrating its first anniversary. Congressman-elect Tom Suozzi expressed gratitude to the Indian community for their support, joined by guests such as Padma Shri Dr. Sudhir Parikh and Dilip Chauhan, representing NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
Prominent community figures from organizations like AIA and FIA-Tristate attended, along with representatives from IOC-USA. Veteran Sikh leaders, Master Mohinder Singh and Gurmej Singh, also graced the event.
