The foundation acknowledges urologists and projects offering patient care and education in underserved areas, globally or within the United States, as mentioned in a press release.
Dr. Roy, mentored by Dr. Amar Singh, contributes to Sadbhavna Trust Hospital in Mahua, Gujarat, India. His efforts involve training in routine and complex urologic surgery and post-operative care.
Meanwhile, Dr. Singal, based at Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto, holds the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He was an associate professor at the University of Toronto and organized missions to Zomba Central Hospital in Malawi.
The foundation commends Dr. Singal for his contributions in collaborating with the Malawi Medical Council and the College of Surgeons of Eastern Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA). Their collaboration resulted in a sustainable solution to the lack of urologic care in Malawi.
