The Indian American Impact Fund has officially announced its endorsements for the 2025 election cycle, supporting candidates in crucial local and statewide races across the United States.
Chintan Patel, the executive director of the PAC, highlighted the significance of these elections, stressing their impact on everyday life. “The elections happening at the local and state levels this year will shape not only our future but also our daily experiences in profound ways,” he stated.
Among the endorsed candidates are Mussab Ali for Mayor of Jersey City, Dini Ajmani for Mayor of Hoboken, Shashi Sinha for Mayor of Rochester, Balvir Singh for New Jersey’s State House District 7, Ajmeri Hoque for Franklin County Municipal Court in Ohio, Aishwarya Balakrishna for Naperville Park District Commissioner in Illinois, and Anant Nambiar for Westchester County Legislator in New York.
This latest round of endorsements comes after the organization previously announced its support for Ghazala Hashmi in her campaign for Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor.
Since its inception in 2016, the Indian American Impact Fund has endorsed 198 candidates nationwide and raised over $20 million for campaign efforts, voter engagement, and policy initiatives. These efforts have played a crucial role in elevating South Asian American voices in U.S. politics and fostering meaningful change in communities across the country.
