Jiten Agarwal, an Indian American business leader and CEO of QuantAi, will be hosting a high-profile reception in Houston for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. With the U.S. presidential election around the corner, the event is expected to raise over $5 million, primarily supported by American donors, including prominent Indian American figures like Swapnil Agarwal, CEO of Nitya Capital.
Agarwal emphasized the growing support for Trump within the Indian American business community, particularly among small and large business owners who favor Trump’s policies on immigration, foreign affairs, and the economy. He highlighted the achievements of Trump’s first presidency, citing his administration’s handling of key issues such as foreign policy, law and order, and economic growth. Agarwal is critical of the Biden-Harris administration, particularly in light of recent international conflicts and rising inflation, and believes a Trump presidency offers a better future for America.
Although Indian American Republican Nikki Haley dropped out of the race, Agarwal noted that her campaign didn’t resonate with the Indian American community. He attributed this to her being perceived as an establishment candidate and a lack of visionary leadership compared to Trump.
Agarwal also acknowledged the influence of Vance’s wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, on her husband’s political career, referencing their shared appreciation for Hindu values.
