Hardam Tripathi, a leader in the Indian-American community and a practicing attorney, has been selected as an alternate delegate for the forthcoming Republican National Convention in Wisconsin. Scheduled for later this month, the convention aims to officially nominate former US President Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s candidate for the upcoming presidential election. Trump, aged 78, is set to contest against the Democratic Party’s incumbent, 81-year-old President Joe Biden.
The convention, organized by the Republican National Party (RNP), will take place in Milwaukee from July 14 to 18. Tripathi, a lifelong Republican and representative of Florida’s 15th Congressional District, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, marking his first time serving as a National Delegate at the RNC. He highlighted the significance of participating in such a pivotal election for the United States.
In addition to his political involvement, Tripathi practices as a US Immigration Attorney and manages Trip Law, a prominent immigration law firm based in Florida. His firm has been actively engaged in assisting Afghan translators who worked alongside US Military Service members, helping them navigate the complexities of obtaining Special Immigrant Visas amidst the turmoil following the Afghanistan withdrawal under President Biden’s administration.
Tripathi emphasized his firm’s commitment to utilizing Immigration Law & Policy to aid individuals globally facing similar humanitarian crises. Recently, Dr. Sampat Shivangi, a renowned Indian-American physician, was also elected as a delegate to the Republican National Convention for the sixth consecutive time, underscoring the growing influence of Indian-Americans in US political circles.
