India and the United States strengthened their strategic partnership as Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held high-level meetings in Washington, including a key interaction with FBI Director Kash Patel. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in security, defence, and emerging strategic domains.
During his visit, Misri also met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. The talks covered a broad range of issues, including trade, critical minerals, defence collaboration, and regional security.
A major highlight of the visit was Misri’s meeting with Kash Patel, where both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in counter-terrorism, organised crime, and narcotics control.
