Foreign affairs expert Robinder Sachdev discussed India’s growing involvement in tackling global challenges like climate change and employment, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to a proactive international role. Sachdev noted that Modi is advocating for a “single-point peace plan” to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict, emphasizing a message of peace during his interactions with the Indian diaspora in the United States.
Speaking to ANI, Sachdev outlined that PM Modi’s key message during his US trip, particularly at the United Nations and with world leaders, is that this is not a time for war but rather for coexistence. Modi’s approach is seen as a balanced alternative to existing plans from leaders like Zelensky, Xi Jinping, and President Putin, which tend to favor their respective positions.
According to Sachdev, Modi’s vision positions India as a “force for good,” actively addressing global challenges and striving to foster international partnerships. He described Modi’s message of bringing “sunlight” into the lives of people as a fundamental aspect of his diplomacy, signifying India’s commitment to peace and positive global contributions.
During his three-day visit to the US, which included attendance at the Quad Leaders Summit and meetings with various global leaders, PM Modi addressed a gathering of 15,000 members of the Indian diaspora at the “Modi and US” event in Long Island. He highlighted India’s technological advancements, especially in 5G and the upcoming 6G, indicating the nation’s dynamic growth and inviting the diaspora to invest back home.
Sachdev emphasized that Modi’s discussions on 5G and 6G serve multiple purposes: showcasing India’s tech leadership, encouraging diaspora investment, and assuring the global audience of India’s capabilities in mobile manufacturing. Modi’s confidence was further illustrated by his statement that “Made in India” chips would soon be available in the US.
Additionally, PM Modi interacted with CEOs of prominent US companies to strengthen collaborations in advanced sectors like AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology, underscoring India’s growth potential and the importance of innovation in various fields.
