Isom emphasized the growing relationship between India and the US, stressing India’s crucial contribution alongside other partners and allies. He expressed optimism about deepening partnerships with countries like Australia, the UK, Canada, and France, emphasizing the importance of these alliances for the future.
Air Marshal Robert Chipman, Chief of the Air Force, Australia, echoed Isom’s sentiments, noting the strengthening India-Australia relationship, especially between their Navy and Air Force. Chipman emphasized the need for appropriate deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region amid escalating tensions.
Chipman, honored with the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) and Member of the Order of Australia (AM), emphasized the importance of providing adequate deterrence amidst rising tensions in the Indo-Pacific. Earlier, on February 21, Chipman held discussions with Vice Chief of Army Staff Upendra Dwivedi and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, focusing on bilateral defense cooperation and mutual interests between the two countries.
