In a bid to reinforce mutual growth and economic collaboration, the ‘Viksit Bharat – Invest India: India-Honduras Bilateral Trade Relations’ seminar was hosted in Tegucigalpa, showcasing the potential for trade and investment between the two nations. The event, organised by the Indian Embassy in Guatemala, which is concurrently accredited to Honduras, brought together ministers, vice ministers, officials, chamber representatives, and key business stakeholders from Honduras.
During the seminar, dignitaries including the Vice Minister of Health and the Vice Minister of Energy shared insights on collaboration opportunities with India, particularly in pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, renewable energy, and sustainable development. They also acknowledged India’s growing influence and leadership on the global stage and expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties with Honduras.
Indian Ambassador to Honduras, Raj Kumar Singh, addressed participants highlighting India’s journey towards a Viksit Bharat and underscored its emergence as a reliable global partner. He emphasised the strong potential for cooperation in trade, investment, renewable energy, digital transformation, agriculture, and capacity-building initiatives. Ambassador Singh extended an invitation to Honduran businesses to explore India’s rapidly expanding market and reiterated India’s commitment to facilitating technology exchange, professional training, and sustainable development projects.
The seminar concluded on an optimistic note, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to advance their economic partnership. Participants highlighted the convergence of interests and the importance of continuing dialogues, trade missions, and collaborations in emerging sectors.
The Indian Embassy reaffirmed its readiness to engage closely with the Government of Honduras, chambers of commerce, and business stakeholders to translate these shared goals into actionable partnerships. The event further strengthened the long-standing friendship between India and Honduras while paving the way for sustained economic cooperation in diverse sectors.
