India’s strides in developing robust digital public goods infrastructure serve as exemplars with transformative potential worldwide. Initiatives like UPI, Jan Dhan, Aadhar, CoWin, and ONDC represent India’s commitment to building inclusive digital infrastructure to serve its citizens.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, exchanged the MoU with Mauricio Lizcano, Colombia’s Minister of Information Technologies and Communications. The agreement aims to catalyze digital transformation, leveraging India’s INDIA STACK, through capacity-building initiatives, best practice exchanges, public official and expert exchanges, pilot or demo solutions development, and fostering private sector engagements to enrich the digital ecosystems of both nations.
The discussion emphasized the significance of Digital Public Infrastructures (DPIs), comprising secure and interoperable digital systems built on open standards. These infrastructures facilitate equitable access to public and private services. India Stack Solutions serve as DPIs developed and implemented by India at a population scale, ensuring access and delivery of public services.
