Considering the prevailing Covid-19 situation, the Union Health Ministry issued updated guidelines for international travelers concerning COVID-19 on July 19.
Effective from July 20 at 12:00 AM (IST), the previous mandate for RT-PCR testing of a random 2% subset of international travelers arriving in India has been lifted. However, the precautionary measures previously advised for airlines and international travelers in the context of Covid-19 will remain in place.
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare remains vigilant in monitoring the Covid-19 scenario.
