On July 17, 2023, Anjali Sud was appointed as the CEO of Tubi, the streaming service owned by Fox Corp. Sud will assume her new role on September 1, 2023.
Paul Cheesebrough, CEO of Tubi Media Group, expressed confidence in Sud’s appointment, stating that she is the ideal candidate to lead Tubi into a new era of creativity, growth, and market leadership. Tubi is recognized as the most watched free TV and movie streaming service in the United States.
Currently, Sud is working closely with her successor at Vimeo and will be leaving the company in August. Commenting on her upcoming role at Tubi, Sud acknowledged the significant shift in content consumption and expressed her desire to shape the future of entertainment by providing universal access to diverse stories.
Sud will be taking over from Farhad Massoudi, who co-founded Tubi in 2010 with Thomas Ahn Hicks and launched it in 2014. In addition to her forthcoming position at Tubi and her current role at Vimeo, Sud has held various positions at Amazon and Time Warner. In 2018, she was featured on Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list. Sud holds a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
