The Foundation of Indian-Americans (FIA) New England, a non-profit organization, hosted a grand celebration for International Women’s Day 2025 on March 8. The event took place at the prestigious John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, where outstanding women from various industries were recognized for their remarkable contributions to society.
The celebration commenced with an interactive video session, where prominent women leaders shared their insights and experiences. The discussion was inspired by John F. Kennedy’s iconic words, “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” The session was moderated by FIA executive members, including Manisha Kumar, Anupama Debroy, Dr. Lakshmi Thalanki, Piyusha, and Vishant Mahajan, according to an FIA-NE press release.
As part of the official ceremony, Irena Victoria King presented the International Women’s Day Governor’s Proclamation and conveyed a special message from Joe Kennedy III. The event honored remarkable women making an impact in fields such as entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, arts, fashion, and philanthropy.
