Previously, she dedicated 17 years to Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where she focused on imaging value, cancer care, and integrating imaging services across MGH, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and their affiliates. Her leadership roles included Associate Chair of Integrated Imaging and Executive Director of Clinical Enterprise Integration for Mass General Brigham Radiology.
Kevin B. Mahoney, CEO of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, praised Dr. Pandharipande for her experience in leadership roles, describing her as uniquely qualified to lead Penn Medicine Radiology during a transformative time in health care.
Dr. Pandharipande also serves nationally on the Board of Directors for the Radiological Society of North America, where she oversees government relations, and on the Advisory Board of the American College of Radiology’s Harvey L. With an undergraduate and medical degree from Cornell University, an internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell, a radiology residency at New York University Medical Center, and an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Pandharipande’s educational and professional achievements position her as a visionary leader for Penn Medicine’s historic Department of Radiology, the first academic radiology department established in 1898.
