On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the BJP government in Rajasthan, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, stating that their double-engine administration is setting new standards for good governance. Speaking at the ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’ event marking one year of the BJP government in Rajasthan, PM Modi underscored the public’s growing trust in the BJP, citing recent election wins in Maharashtra, Haryana, and the Lok Sabha.
He noted that BJP’s consecutive victories reflect widespread confidence in the party’s governance. “BJP’s double-engine government is now seen as a guarantee of good governance,” PM Modi stated. He commended CM Bhajanlal Sharma for steering Rajasthan toward rapid development and new opportunities.
PM Modi also announced projects worth $6 billion (Rs 45,000-50,000 crores), which are set to address water challenges, boost connectivity, and attract investment to the state. These initiatives are expected to benefit tourism, agriculture, and employment prospects in Rajasthan. The projects lay a robust foundation for sustained growth in the coming years, PM Modi remarked.
The Prime Minister highlighted the BJP’s efforts to resolve these issues by initiating investigations and arrests related to these frauds. Additionally, the BJP government has taken measures to provide relief by lowering fuel prices.
PM Modi also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the modified Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal project between the governments of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The agreement, exchanged by Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, aims to enhance water resource management for the region.
