Ranveer Singh’s latest blockbuster, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, continues to dominate the box office after its massive March 19 release. Within just four days, the action-packed sequel has set new benchmarks for Bollywood, earning around $55 million in India alone, according to Sacnilk reports.
The film’s early momentum was boosted by paid previews, which brought in roughly $5.5 million, followed by an impressive opening day of about $49 million. Friday saw a slight dip to approximately $38.5 million, but Saturday’s numbers surged to $54 million, reflecting strong audience demand. Sunday maintained high occupancy rates of 77% across thousands of screens, proving the film’s sustained popularity.
In just four days, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the lifetime India net collections of major Bollywood hits such as Dangal ($20.8M), Bajrangi Bhaijaan ($22.6M), and Baahubali: The Beginning ($22.6M). The film’s gross worldwide earnings have already exceeded $83 million, positioning it on track to cross $84 million globally.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel follows the gripping story of an Indian spy infiltrating political and criminal networks in Lyari, Pakistan. Ranveer Singh leads a stellar cast including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. The movie also explores the compelling backstory of Hamza Ali Mazari, formerly Jaskirat Singh Rangi from Punjab, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative.
