Ranveer Singh’s latest blockbuster, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, continues to dominate the box office after its massive March 19 release. Within just four days, the action-packed sequel has set new benchmarks for Bollywood, earning around $55 million in India alone, according to Sacnilk reports.
The film’s early momentum was boosted by paid previews, which brought in roughly $5.5 million, followed by an impressive opening day of about $49 million. Friday saw a slight dip to approximately $38.5 million, but Saturday’s numbers surged to $54 million, reflecting strong audience demand. Sunday maintained high occupancy rates of 77% across thousands of screens, proving the film’s sustained popularity.
In just four days, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the lifetime India net collections of major Bollywood hits such as Dangal ($20.8M), Bajrangi Bhaijaan ($22.6M), and Baahubali: The Beginning ($22.6M). The film’s gross worldwide earnings have already exceeded $83 million, positioning it on track to cross $84 million globally.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel follows the gripping story of an Indian spy infiltrating political and criminal networks in Lyari, Pakistan. Ranveer Singh leads a stellar cast including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
