Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has taken the global box office by storm, setting a new record for the largest extended opening week in Indian cinema. Following a powerful debut, the film has now surpassed the previous benchmark set by Pushpa 2: The Rule, marking an extraordinary achievement in Bollywood history.
The film’s momentum remained strong throughout the weekdays, a rare feat for releases of this scale. In eight days, Dhurandhar 2 has grossed $131 million worldwide, comfortably exceeding Pushpa 2’s $128 million, establishing a record that will be challenging to beat in the near future.
The Hindi version of the film has been the primary driver of these historic numbers, performing exceptionally well in both mass circuits and multiplexes. This combination of broad appeal has contributed to Dhurandhar 2’s blockbuster status.
Breaking down the earnings, the film has grossed over $97 million domestically and $34 million overseas within just eight days. This worldwide total has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which grossed $127 million globally. Dhurandhar 2 is expected to overtake Jawan’s $140 million soon, becoming the third-highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time, behind Dhurandhar ($158 million) and Dangal ($252 million).
In comparison with Pushpa 2, Dhurandhar 2 leads across key metrics. On day eight, it earned $6 million net across India in all languages versus Pushpa 2’s $4.5 million. Its total domestic gross reached $97 million compared to Pushpa 2’s $104 million, while overseas collections were significantly higher at $34 million versus $23 million for Pushpa 2, bringing the worldwide total to $131 million compared to $128 million.
With record-breaking performance across domestic and international markets, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has firmly established itself as a milestone in Bollywood, setting new standards for box office success and audience engagement.
