Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 has achieved a landmark milestone by becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, while also securing a strong position among the biggest Indian blockbusters globally. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller has continued its impressive theatrical run and has now accumulated approximately $201 million worldwide within just 22 days. The film’s sustained performance highlights its strong audience appeal across both domestic and international markets, making it one of the most commercially successful Bollywood releases in recent years.
The production companies Jio Studios and B62 Studios officially confirmed the film’s updated earnings on April 10. In India, Dhurandhar 2 has generated a net collection of around $129 million, while its gross domestic earnings stand at nearly $152 million. These figures mark a historic achievement, as the film has become the first Bollywood title to cross both the $108 million and $120 million milestones in the Indian market. This reflects the growing scale of Hindi cinema’s domestic box office strength and audience reach.
Overseas markets have also contributed significantly to the film’s success, adding approximately $72 million to its global total. This strong international performance has pushed the worldwide gross to about $201 million, underlining the film’s broad appeal beyond India. Earlier, the movie had delivered a record-breaking opening weekend, earning roughly $91 million globally in just four days, including about $66 million from India and $25 million from overseas markets. This early surge set the foundation for its long-term dominance at the box office.
With this performance, Dhurandhar 2 now stands just behind some of the biggest Indian films of all time in worldwide earnings. It currently trails Pushpa 2 at approximately $208 million, Baahubali 2 at around $214 million, and Dangal at nearly $248 million. While the film still has room to grow, especially with limited major competition in the immediate release window, analysts suggest it may have a chance to surpass Pushpa 2 if momentum continues.
However, overtaking Baahubali 2 and Dangal appears more difficult due to their significantly higher lifetime totals. Despite that, Dhurandhar 2 has already secured its place as a major box office milestone, consistently breaking records and redefining expectations for Bollywood’s global performance. Its strong run reflects both expanding international reach and growing audience demand for large-scale Indian cinema.
