Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to Aditya Dhar’s hit film starring Ranveer Singh, continues to dominate box offices worldwide in its second week. On Day 13, Tuesday, the movie earned $171 million, with the Hindi version contributing $160 million, Telugu $6 million, and Tamil $3.3 million. This brings its total domestic net collection to $5.54 billion, while India’s gross revenue now stands at $6.63 billion. Globally, Dhurandhar 2 has crossed $1.435 billion, surpassing its predecessor by a wide margin.
The film is currently being screened across 17,883 shows nationwide. On Day 13, overall Hindi occupancy averaged 28.2%, starting with 20.15% in the morning, peaking at 34.62% in the afternoon, and finishing at 25.77% at night. Delhi NCR led with 1,562 shows and 34.5% occupancy, followed by Mumbai with 1,107 shows at 32.5% occupancy.
Despite its explosive start, weekday trends show a slight slowdown. On the second Tuesday, the original Dhurandhar earned approximately $187 million, slightly outperforming the sequel in tickets sold. This indicates that while Dhurandhar 2 surged initially, the first installment had stronger weekday traction driven by organic audience growth.
The film has also drawn praise from Bollywood stars. Suniel Shetty lauded Ranveer Singh’s performance, Aditya Dhar’s vision, and Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal, hinting at potential collaborations in future installments of the franchise. Meanwhile, Pakistani politician Nabil Gabol commented on a character inspired by him, sparking cross-border conversations about the portrayal of real-life figures in the movie.
Dhurandhar 2 continues to run strongly, with critics and audiences praising its story, performances, and production quality. Industry trackers predict that it will continue to shatter box office records in the coming weeks, maintaining its momentum as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films globally.
