
Club Chicago, USA, hosted an exuberant celebration of Ram Navami, drawing over 200 community members to honor the occasion with spiritual and cultural enthusiasm.
The event opened with a soulful Ganesh Vandana by Chairperson Pinkiben Dineshbhai Thakkar. A special puja was held to commemorate the birthday of Late Bharatiben Shah, wife of Club President Nareshbhai Shah. Their daughters, Mishaben and Avaniben Shah, joined in this emotional tribute, making the moment deeply personal and touching.
As the Ram Navami festivities continued, symbolic roles were brought to life with Kanubhai Patel portraying Lord Ram, Hansaben Patel as Sita, Mukeshbhai Mehta as Laxman, and Jai Prakashbhai Shah as Hanuman. Their entrance was celebrated with the powerful beats of a traditional dhol, energizing the entire venue.
During the event, Mitalben Patel welcomed Sarojben Patel to perform a heartfelt Ramdhun, a devotional composition penned and sung by her. The spiritual momentum continued as Rujutaben Pancholi spoke about the significance of Ram Navami and its impact on the Hindu faith.
To honor another major Hindu festival, Mahavir Jayanti, Geetaben Shah and her group recited the Navkar Mantra, filling the room with peace and reverence.
Adding a fun twist, Senior Club USA kicked off a Senior Talent Show, bringing lively energy to the celebration. Soulful solo performances by Kantilal Patel, Hareshbhai Thakkar, and Vasudevbhai Thakkar delighted the audience. Duets by Rupalben and Sarangbhai Shah, along with a graceful dance by Hansaben, kept spirits high.
Continuing the festivities, Jayashreeben Detroja’s group performed an uplifting song, followed by a vibrant dance performance by Jayashreeben Pandya, Diptiben Mehta, and Rupalben Shah. Chicago journalist Jayanti Oza was present to cover the colorful event.
Behind the scenes, Chairperson Pinkiben Dineshbhai Thakkar, President Naresh Shah, VP Rameshbhai Punatar, Secretary Mukeshbhai Mehta, Treasurer Mitalben Patel, and board members worked tirelessly to deliver a festive and memorable event for the community.
