Alongside Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet, Anushka Sharma will make her Cannes Film Festival debut in the latter quarter of this month. She reportedly plans to attend the film festival to celebrate women in movies. Emmanuel Lenain, the French ambassador to India, also made a subliminal suggestion that Anushka Sharma will attend the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, which would be held in France.
In a tweet after their meeting in New Delhi, the actress from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and her cricketer spouse Virat Kohli were mentioned. “A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma! I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s trip to #CannesFilmFestival.”
Anushka Sharma wore a black pair of slacks and a blue top to the meeting with the French ambassador. She chose a neat ponytail and little makeup to finish her appearance. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, looked good next to her in a matched pair of black leggings and a brown polo t-shirt.
The 2023 edition of the Cannes Film Festival will open on May 16 and run through May 27.
