An upcoming slice-of-life OTT film from YRF Entertainment titled “Vijay 69” would have seasoned actor Anupam Kher as the protagonist.
The 2017 movie “Meri Pyari Bindu,” starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra, was directed by Akshay Roy.
According to a press release from YRF Entertainment, “Vijay 69” will tell the story of a sexagenarian man (Kher) who intends to participate in a triathlon competition at the age of 69.
Maneesh Sharma, a director best known for the YRF films “Band Baaja Baaraat,” “Shuddh Desi Romance,” and “Fan,” will produce the movie.
“Vijay 69” is the third endeavor from YRF Entertainment, the recently established digital division of the production company Yash Raj Films (YRF).
“The Railway Men” and “Mandala Murders” are two OTT programs that the firm previously announced.
According to its description, “The Railway Men” pays homage to the Bhopal gas tragedy’s unsung heroes from 1984. R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma, and Babil Khan appear in it.
For actress Vaani Kapoor, “Mandala Murders” will be her OTT debut. Gopi Puthran of “Mardaani 2” fame is directing the program, which is being marketed as a grimy criminal thriller.
