Naidu specifically celebrated the fact that Usha Vance, JD Vance’s wife, will become the First Indian-American Second Lady of the United States, marking a milestone for Indian-Americans of Telugu descent. Usha, aged 38, hails from Vadluru village in the West Godavari district, near Tanuku, a region well-known in Andhra Pradesh.
In a post on X, Naidu expressed his heartfelt congratulations to JD Vance, calling the moment a proud achievement for Telugu people worldwide. He also expressed hope for the opportunity to invite both JD and Usha Vance to visit Andhra Pradesh in the future. Naidu praised Usha Vance for being the first woman of Telugu heritage to hold such a distinguished position in the U.S.
Naidu had earlier extended his congratulations to Donald Trump for his victory in the presidential election, wishing him success in leading the country. The chief minister emphasized that Trump’s first term had already strengthened the Indo-US relationship, and with Trump’s re-election, Naidu expressed optimism that the collaboration between India and the U.S. would continue to grow under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Trump.
